This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard information when you use:

• The Pup AI mobile application (the "App")
• Any related websites, content, products, or services (collectively, the "Services")

This Policy does not cover third-party services you access through the Services (e.g., Apple App Store, Google Play), which have their own policies.

3. Information We Collect

We collect information in the following categories:

3.1 Information You Provide Directly

• Authentication: Limited information from Apple ID (name and email if you choose to share).
• Dog information: name, breed(s), age, health/training issues, preferences.
• Chat content: messages, photos, or videos you send in the AI chat.
• Goal data: training/health goals, milestone updates, notes you enter.
• Support requests & feedback: emails, survey responses, bug reports.

3.2 Automatically Collected Information

• Device & usage data: IP address, device model, OS version, app version, timestamps, features used.
• App analytics & diagnostics: crash logs, performance metrics.

3.3 Image/Scan Data

• Camera scans/photos: images used to infer body language, stress signals, or breed identification.
• Image analysis occurs through Google's AI services. Images are sent to Google for processing but are not stored by us.
• We do not retain copies of your images on our servers.

3.4 Payment Information

• In-app purchases & subscriptions are processed by Apple/Google or other third parties. We receive limited information (e.g., transaction ID, status) but not full card numbers.

4. How We Use Your Information

We use information to:

• Provide and operate the Services (run the chat, track goals/milestones, process scans).
• Personalize your experience (remember your dog's info, tailor suggestions).
• Maintain continuity ("memory") across sessions so the AI can reference past context.
• Communicate with you (service emails, milestone notifications, updates).
• Process payments and manage subscriptions.
• Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.

5. How We Share Information

We do not sell personal information. We may share information with:

• Service providers / processors: AI processing through Google (Gemini model) for chat functionality.
• Legal & safety purposes: if required by law, court order, or to protect rights, property, or safety of Pup AI, users, or others.
• Business transfers: if we sell or merge assets; your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.

6. Data Storage & Retention

Important: Your personal data and chat history are stored locally on your device. We do not retain any user data on our servers.

AI Processing: When you send messages or images to the AI, they are transmitted to Google's servers for processing. Google processes this data according to their terms but does not retain it for our use.

The only data we retain is support requests or feedback sent directly to us via email.

7. Your Rights & Choices

Since all data is stored locally on your device:

• You have full control over your data
• You can delete the app to remove all stored data
• You can access all your data within the app
• No data deletion requests are necessary as we don't store your data

8. Children's Privacy

The Services are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children without parental consent. If you believe we collected data from a child, contact pupaihelp@gmail.com and we will delete it.

9. Security

Since data is stored locally on your device, security depends on your device's security measures. We recommend using device passwords and keeping your device software updated.

10. International Data Transfers

Important: When you use AI features (chat or image scanning), your data is transmitted to Google's servers for processing. Google operates data centers globally, including in the United States and other countries. While your personal data remains on your device, the content you submit for AI processing (messages, photos) will be processed on Google's infrastructure according to their data processing terms.

11. Third-Party Links & Services

The Services may link to third-party sites or services. Their privacy practices are not covered by this Policy. Review their policies before providing data.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy. When we do, we will revise the "Last Updated" date and, if material changes occur, provide additional notice (e.g., in-app or by email). Continued use after changes indicates acceptance.
